YouTube prankster Remi Gaillard faces backlash over ‘free sex’ video

He has been accused of glorifying sex attacks with the ‘degrading’ video

London: French comedian Remi Gaillard is facing a backlash for his ‘free sex’ video, in which he simulates intercourse in public with unsuspecting women.

The video shows the YouTube prankster sneaking up behind women going about their business in the street, the park and supermarket and – using careful camera angles – creates the illusion of engaging in a sex act without their knowledge.

Gaillard’s videos are popular but this latest prank has not been well-received, Metro.co.uk reported.

Despite notching up millions of views and ‘likes’ in a matter of days, he has been accused of glorifying sex attacks with the ‘degrading’ video.

Writer Dom Bochel Guegan claimed the video trivialised “the sexual violence of which we have been or will be one day the victim of”.

French TV presenter Audrey Pulvar described the film as ‘disgusting and unfunny’ while a former health minister said the comedian was guilty of ‘glorifying rape’.
