Government only interested in pink revolution, giving subsidies to mutton exporters: Modi
Nawada: Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the central government is more interested in pink revolution over the green revolution or the white revolution, and added that it is giving subsidies to mutton exporters instead of farmers.
Addressing a rally in Nawada District of Bihar, Modi said: “But the present government in Delhi is not bothered about green revolution or white revolution. Instead it is interested in pink revolution. Do you know what pink revolution is? It is the colour of the flesh when animals are killed.”
“They said proudly that last year India made huge profits in exporting muttons to other countries. In each and every village, animals are being killed. Plus the government is not interested in giving subsidies to the farmers but they are giving subsidy to those who are killing animals,” he added.
He asked Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, whether they support such people who are interested in pink revolution.
Reiterating that it is demand of the time that the people make this country free of the Congress, Modi said, “Few days ago, the Congress party released their ‘dhokhaptra’ instead of a ‘ghoshnapatra’. They have promised to give employment to ten crore youths. They had promised this in 2009 also. But nobody got employment.”
He also said the people want the black money stashed in safe havens to be returned to the country. “But the government is not interested in bringing back that money as they are the custodian for thieves and scamsters,” he added.
He promised that if the NDA comes to power then the black money will brought back from the foreign banks and will be used for the benefit of the poor. He asked people to pledge for ‘na wada’ (No promise) and said that this time there has to be ‘iraada’ (intention). “I want to serve this region myself. Will you give me a chance? No matter how many governments have come and gone, armed with an intention I can do a lot more than that,” he added. “If there is a storm, then it is in Bihar. The state wants to come out of its troubles. Now, it wants to get rid of its problems. Bihar has vowed that the next government at the Centre will be formed by Bihar,” he said.
