Voter slip distribution from April 7
Hyderabad: Briefing mediapersons on poll arrangements, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said the electoral slips with the photograph of the voters would be distributed to voters in twin cities between April 7 and 20 while in other areas it will be between April 10 and 20.
Polling will be held between 7 am and 6 pm in 108 Assembly constituencies while it would be restricted to 4 pm in 11 assembly constituencies which were identified as Maoist-infested.
To a question, the CEO said he had received a complaint that constituting several committees for carrying out state division process amounted to model code violation. We sought information from General Administration Department on the committees and once the information is received it will be sent to Election Commission for taking decision, he said.
The CEO said police seized Rs 80 crore, 70 kg gold and 300 kg silver so far and flying squads would intensify drive against attempts to influence voters.
