Modi a ‘bundle of lies’: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
Bijapur: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has described BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as a ‘bundle of lies' while rubbishing the latter's claims that he had developed Gujarat into a model state.
Addressing a Congress party rally at Talikot, near Bijapur on Tuesday evening, Mr Siddaramaiah said the tall claims being made by Modi about the development and growth of Gujarat is nothing but a big lie. He said that in all fields, Gujarat was backward and there was no development in the state as claimed by Mr Modi at his rallies. If Modi comes to power, there will neither be peace nor development, quipped Mr Siddaramaiah.
The CM later criticised the statement of former CM Jagadish Shettar for misleading the people over the government-sponsored Anna Bhagya scheme and said Mr Shettar was anti-poor and was giving false information to people about a project aimed at making Karnataka hunger-free.
He said, the state government has been able to implement several such projects in the larger interests of the people after it came to power.
Among the list of programmes it announced before the assembly elections in the state, about 96 projects have already been implemented, he added.
