Popular kids get bullied too: research
Researchers find popular children are harder hit by the effects of bullying
London: Being popular does not reduce the chances of getting bullied, a new research has found. The University of California study found that popular children feel they easily fall prey to bullying.
According to the Daily Mail, “Researchers find popular children are harder hit by the effects of bullying.” The study also found only 5 percent most popular kids escaped bullying
The study also found that becoming popular has a devastating effect on the victims. “The study found victims of harassment suffered psychological, social and academic consequences, and they experienced high levels of anxiety, anger and depression,” the report stated.
