Chennai: After the success of the crime thriller, Thegidi, there are speculations in the industry on the possibility of director P. Ramesh directing a sequel to it. Also, Thegidi ends in a way that seems that there is still a story to tell the audience.
“The second part of the film is definitely on the cards,” says the director, “but it won’t happen immediately. I am busy working on another script now, and the genre of this film is definitely not a thriller the way my first flick was. I will continue with the character of Vallaba in the second part. The story will revolve around him. I am happy with the success of the film.”
Thegidi featured Ashok Selvan of Villa fame and Janani Iyer in the lead. The film was produced by Thirukumaran Entertainments. Will the duo be roped in for its sequel too?
