Chandrababu Naidu takes a bullet train to power in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: Promising free cellphones for women to ensure their safety, Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday issued separate manifestos for Telangana and Seemandhra. Much of the focus was on the reconstruction of the Seemandhra region.
The TDP promised Seemandhra a bullet train, reconstruction of the region including a new capital, an industrial corridor from the town of Tada to Itchapuram and development of ports.
For Telangana, Mr Naidu offered a BC candidate as Chief Minister and securing national status for the Chevella-Pranahita project, among others.
Mr Naidu promised to install solar-powered agricultural pump sets in both regions with 75 per cent subsidy. He has also promised waiver of loans to farmers and Dwcra women and nine-hour free power supply to the farm sector.
“You may ask where I will get the funds from. Where there is a will there is a way. We will provide a corruption-free administration and also fight to bring back the Rs 75 lakh-crore black money stashed in foreign banks,” he said.
