Aditya Chopra writing a script for Shah Rukh Khan
Mumbai: Aditya Chopra made his debut as director with ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ (1995) with Shah Rukh Khan. The film that taught everyone to fall in love is still running in a theatre. It will complete 1000 weeks by the end of this year and this is one combination that has never failed to give what the audience needs. Be it ‘Mohabbatein’ (2000), which was next in line followed by ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. (2008).
The latest buzz is that Aditya Chopra is writing a script keeping Shah Rukh in mind. Adi has never directed a film without SRK and this one too will have him, but of course with a lot of variation in SRK’s character and mannerism. After all, it was in DDLJ where SRK with his arms wide open became a signature pose.
Shah Rukh has earlier mentioned in his interviews that when it comes to working with Aditya Chopra or the late Yash Chopra, he never indulges in talks related to the story or money. Given the faith he has with them, he just asks them the day they want to start shooting and he just makes himself available. If all goes well, the film is most likely to go on floors in 2015.
With Yash Raj Films, Shah Rukh is currently signed up for ‘Fan’.
