Food to eat during summer

When the temperature is soaring, it’s time to up your intake of fresh fruits and veggies. Make a round of your local greengrocer and stock up on all the abundant seasonal produce.

Ensure you grab:Lots of cruciferous vegetables: Broccoli and cauliflower are good for you. Use the florets in soups or steam and lightly season for a veggie platter.

Bundles of greens: Now’s the time to get hold of fresh lettuce, spinach, methi.

Berries: From strawberries to raspberries and blueberries (if your supermarket happens to have them), berries offer a great way to indulge your taste buds, and get a good dose of nutrition.

Roots: Sweet potato, carrots, beetroot make them your friends in the summer. Carrots are rich sources of beta-carotene and all root veggies give you fiber.
