IPL spot-fixing: Harish Salve alleges MS Dhoni ‘guilty of corrupt practices’

Salve accused Dhoni of lying about Gurunath Meiyappan’s role in CSK

Chennai: Harish Salve, representing petitioner Cricket Association of Bihar, in the Supreme Court sought a criminal investigation into the spot-fixing allegations and petitioned that the CSK team should be terminated.

Mr. Salve accused Mahendra Singh Dhoni of being “guilty of corrupt practices” by lying before the justice Mudgal committee on the role of the BCCI president’s son-in-law, Gurunath Meiyappan, in CSK.

The court, however, said at this moment it was not going to remove anybody and that the matches of IPL-7 will go on.

Dhoni has been promising to come clean with the media for some time now but has been told to lay off with the promise that problems could be sorted out in course of time.
