Deccan Chronicle, Oakridge plan career advice meet
Hyderabad: Deccan Chronicle and Oakridge International School are jointly organising “Career Crossroads”, an IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) Orientation and Career Counselling Programme.
All aspiring Class X students and their parents are invited to attend the session from 4.30 pm to 6 pm on March 29 at the Taj Deccan, Hyderabad.
This is a never before opportunity for students to gain first-hand knowledge of the increasingly popular IBDP and career opportunities after completion of the programme.
IBDP is an academically challenging, rigorous programme in which students take up six subjects, and as part of core requirement engage in creative artistic pursuits, physical activities and community service projects through Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS).
Students are also sensitised on becoming caring individuals, besides unearthing the inherent talents within themselves.
The IBDP programme also includes individual research work through the Extended Essay (EE), a 4,000 word essay on any one subject area of a student’s interest, which is a unique exposure to the world of research.
An essential principle of IB assessment is that standards are the same worldwide, and students are assessed both internally and externally.
