This election season, Tollywood has all the hits. The latest film personality to join politics is actress Sana, who joined the Telugu Desam on Friday. “I campaigned for the Telugu Desam earlier and I know how the party works. At present, Chandrababu Naidu is the only leader who can develop the state,” says Sana who hails from the Old City and has acted in more than 500 films. For the TD it will be a plus because Sana is a household name among the Telugu people as she is popular on the small screen too.
The actress had said recently that she wanted to raise her voice in support of people. “I wanted to contest in the coming elections, but I haven’t decided from where. The party will decide and I give my full support to the party,” says the actress. According to our sources, Mr Naidu may ask her to contest from an Andhra constituency. “Wherever the party decides, I will be ready, because I am a known face to all the Telugu people,” says Sana, adding that she will continue her acting career. “I will balance acting and politics. From now I will reduce my films and give time to mingle with people,” says the actress.
