‘I am in love with Hyderabad’

6,000 people turned up at MGIT college to hear Mika sing

Singer Mika Singh had an awesome time in Hyderabad on Thursday night.

In the city for the Nirvana college festival concert by MGIT College, the music sensation kick-started the evening with the song Mast Kalandar and went on to mesmerise the audience with his hit numbers like Pungi, Dhinka Chika and many more, shaking a leg all along.

In spite of it being a weekday, the concert saw more than 6,000 people and the singer was in his element. Giving the message of always respecting women, Mika went on to say, “It’s over 15 years that I have been doing concerts and I am totally in love with Hyderabad. The crowd here is just like biryani. They are so warm and welcoming.”

“The crowd was mostly young and I am falling short of words in describing their energy levels. Hopefully everyone enjoyed as much as I did,” says Mika.

Talking about a memorable moment from the concert, Mika shares, “When I sang Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag, it was very touching and took me down memory lane. People had showered their love on me then and they do it even now. Wish they do it always; what more can I ask for.”
