The Samsung Seoul plant had a malfunctioning fire safety system trigger itself
The Korean news agency Yonhap news reported that a fire security system in the Seoul plant of Samsung was accidentally triggered, causing it to spray carbon dioxide into the factory. The system incorrectly detected a fire in the factory and the mishap resulted I the death of a 56-year old worker who was in the area. Samsung has confirmed the incident and the police are investigating.
Local authorities are concerned with safety conditions at the country’s top tech giant amid a series of similar accidents in the past.
