The latest actor to join politics is Sivaji. The star, who joined the BJP on Thursday, has been raising social issues for the last few years. “I needed a platform to fight all these problems. At present, I feel that Narendra Modi is one person who can bring about change in the common man’s life,” says Sivaji, adding, “I would like to do social service. I have earned enough from films and don’t need to earn more.”
He says that he will not be contesting in the coming elections. Asked whether he would be criticising Chiranjeevi, Sivaji says that he is against personal accusations. “I would like to highlight the basic needs of the common man. I don’t want to criticise other parties or persons,” he says, adding that he would continue acting. “I will plan my schedule for both politics and films. But I will give more time to interact with people than to films,” he says.
