N. Shivlal Yadav to be next BCCI chief?

He is in line to head the national cricket board after the SC asked BCCI president to step down

Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s N. Shivlal Yadav, one of the four BCCI vice-presidents, is in line to head the national cricket board after the Supreme Court asked BCCI president N. Srinivasan to step down.

“If given the chance, I am ready to accept the responsibility with the blessings of everyone concerned,” the 57-year-old former cricketer and selection committee member told this newspaper on Tuesday.

He may not need their patronage though going by the BCCI constitution, which says the interim president has to be the vice-president representing the same zone as the outgoing president should the chief demit office in the last year of his term.
