Android phones can now get thermal vision

After a previous thermal vision case for Apple, now Android phones can also benefit from a similar gadget

FLIR, a case for the iPhone 5, can turn the gadget into a thermal imaging camera. Therm-App, a thermal imaging application for Android is now available on the Google Play, which can also turn your Android phone into a thermal camera.

All you need is the app, a phone with Android 4.0+ and an USB-OTG-compatible Android phone and the gadget that is actually a thermal camera attachment. Gizmodo reported that it could provide everything from real-time thermal vision for finding an electrical component that's running hot, or for spotting people or animals in the dark of the night.

The thermal vision attachment can also support additional lenses, which allows you to customise your field of view.

The Therm-App does appear to be actually available right now, but for the time being, only existing Opgal customers are able to buy it. Which basically means only professional military, security, and law enforcement types will be able to order one.
