No stay on Kadapa Muncipal Election
Andhra Pradesh High Court refused to stay the elections to the Kadapa Municipal Corporation
Hyderabad: The AP High Court on Monday refused to stay the elections to the Kadapa Municipal Corporation. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sengupta and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar was dealing with a petition by Shaik Md. Hussain Ahmed, former corporator of Kadapa Municipal Corporation, seeking directions to take 2011 census as the basis for delimitation of wards instead of 2001 census.
While admitting the petition, the bench made it clear that the declaration of successful candidates in the corporation election would be subject to the outcome of the petition and this information should pass on to all the candidates contesting elections of the corporation.
