LG has announced a Smart Bulb, which is intelligently built, but equally expensive. The $32 (approx Rs 2,000) bulb has a power rating of just 10 Watts, but has the ability to connect to your iPhone or Android smartphone and can last almost 10 years.
Technobuffalo reports that the LG bulb can act as a visual alert when you receive a call or message and can also pulsate with the beats when playing music from your phone. You can additionally set the bulb on timer mode too, which will turn on at specified durations. This feature can help keeping burglars away when you are not at home.
Presently, the bulbs are available in South Korea only, but we are not sure whether LG will launch the device in other countries.
Though the bulbs seem to be high-priced, the alarm feature and the call alert can be of great use.
