Panasonic to launch electric care bed ‘Resyone’ soon
Panasonic will soon be launching its new electric care bed known as ‘Resyone’. This bed makes use of robotic technology to help users get out of bed and convert into a reclining wheelchair.
This can be beneficial for hospitals, as it can help in providing a better nurse care to bedridden patients and makes it easier for care receivers to get out of bed whenever they desire.
The device certification represents an appraisal by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) of the safety of Panasonic's Resyone service robot, in accordance with the ISO13482 global safety standard for personal robotic device (lifestyle support robot) safety. JQA President, Osamu Morimoto presented the company with its certification at an event held to present the results of a project to commercialize lifestyle support robots organized by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
This ISO 13482 electric device has been designed in collaboration with International Organization for Standardization, in the form of a personal care robot.
