ICC World T20: India vs West Indies, how weather, pitch, teams shape up

The rain may play the spoilsport

Mirpur: The defending champions West Indies will face India in their first game in Super 10 of ICC World T20 2014. The game will be full of flare as both the sides are packed with big hitters. Here is how the weather and pitch are expected to behave.

Weather:
The weather conditions in Mirpur threaten to shorten or cancel the game. It rained in Dhaka on Saturday and the weather forecast suggest that there are chances of rainfall on Sunday as well.

The expected maximum temperature is 33°C while the minimum temperature (expected) will be 23° C in the night.

Pitch:
The pitches in Bangladesh like most of the pitches in Indian sub-continent are batsmen friendly and assists spinners a great deal. But if it rains before the match begins, the pitch might freshen up a bit to help the seamers. In that case, the spinners from both the sides will be tested and their captains may need to chop and change the team before the toss.
