Temperatures up all over Andhra Pradesh, could soar to 47 degree C by March end
No heat wave warnings have been issued by the meteorological department so far

Hyderabad: Mercury levels are hitting a new high every day. The maximum temperature touched 40 degree celsius in many districts across Andhra Pradesh, including Bhadrachalam, Mahbubnagar, Tirupati and Kurnool.
Dry weather prevailed across the state with temperatures in the city touching 38 degree celsius.
“On Thursday, the maximum temperatures rose at one or two places in Telangana and Rayala-seema, and were appreciably above normal in Coastal Andhra Pradesh,” Met officials said.
No heat wave warnings have been issued by the meteorological department so far.
“The temperatures in all districts are above normal. They have been increasing by the day and will touch 40-42 degree celsius in the city and 45-47 degree celsius across the state by March-end. The highest maximum temperature is usually recorded between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
“The earth receives more sunlight in this season, and clear skies increase temperatures,” said Mr M. Narsimha Rao, the assistant meteorologist at the meteorological centre in Hyderabad.
He also said that the duration of the summer season will depend on the formation of weather systems over the Bay of Bengal. “Temperatures will fall only when these systems result in some activity,” he said.
