Quid-pro-quo investments case: Jagan Reddy case posted to April 25
Hyderabad: The CBI court for special cases on Friday granted exemption from personal appearance to YSRC chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and also postponed hearing in the quid pro quo case to April 25.
The other accused in the case, including major industries minister Geeta Reddy, former ministers P. Sabita Indira Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Mopidevi Venkataramana and India Cements CMD N. Srinivasan did not appear.
The court granted them permission on their petitions that cited the election campaign in the state. The accused who appeared in court on Friday include Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s aide Vijaya Sai Reddy, the second accused in all the chargesheets, senior IAS officials Ratna Prabha, Samuel, Manmohan Singh, B.P. Acharya, Sam Bob and others.
Industrialists Nimmagadda Prasad, Penna Pratap Reddy, Indu Shyam Prasad Reddy. Senior IAS official Y. Srilakshmi also did not appear. A discharge petition filed by Geeta Reddy to remove her name from the chargesheet in the case was also posted for April 25.
