Andhra bifurcation: S.P Tucker in-charge of reorganising Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: Strengthening the general administration (state reorganisation) department, chief secretary P.K. Mohanty on Friday issued orders on allocation of work among the officers.
S.P. Tucker, special secretary, planning department, will be overall in-charge of the work related to the reorganisation of the state. Mr Tucker has been given full additional charge as principal secretary, general administration (state reorganisation) department.
Mr Tucker would lead the apex committee and review the output of other committees handing different subjects. He will also head the state reorganisation cell relating to the allocation of employees. Several other officers have been roped in and given separate departments.
P.V. Ramesh will handle Home, law, planning and finance, whereas K. Ramakrishna Rao will handle Energy, irrigation and command area development, municipal administration, roads and buildings, transport, Panchayat Raj and rural development, information technology, electronics and communications, tourism, youth, sports and Housing. Jayesh Ranjan will look after Environment, forests and S&T, school education, higher education, health, medical and family welfare, women and child development, industries and commerce, infrastructure and investment, public enterprises, labour and employment, revenue department.
N. Siva Sankar will see General administration, language and culture, legislative affairs and B. Venkatesham will handle Agriculture, horticulture, sericulture, marketing and cooperation, civil supplies, animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy development, BCs Welfare, minorities welfare, social welfare, tribal welfare and rain shadow area development.
