After the grand success of Thira, Shobana may be back to the silversreen yet another time with G. Marthandan’s new venture Paavada. Produced by actor Maniyanpilla Raju, the movie will have Prithviraj and Biju Menon in the lead roles. “Both of them will be playing alcoholics in the movie, almost similar to Prithvi’s role in Memories. They have both committed to the project and so have Anoop Menon and Nedumudi Venu. We are also in discussions with Shobana for a crucial female lead character, but as it is a different and gutsy role, we are still waiting for her confirmation,” says Maniyanpilla Raju.
However, Shobaba will not be a heroine to either Prithvi or Biju Menon. “Their heroines as well as the other cast are yet to be finalised. The film will be scripted by Bipin Chandra, who has done the script of movies like Daddy Cool, Best Actor and the recent hit 1983. But crew including the cinematographer also have to be finalised. We are planning to begin the shoot by end of June. All I can add about the movie is that it will be a family entertainer,” he explains.
