Leaker of Windows 8 arrested by FBI

The software engineer was picked up from Seattle and charged with information theft

The FBI arrested Alex Kibkalo on Wednesday from the Seattle suburb of Bellevue and is now under custody for stealing trade secrets from Microsoft.

Neowin also reports that he lost his job with his present employer, 5nine, after the FBI picked him up. 5nine has stated that they were not aware of any of his alleged actions at Microsoft (back in 2012 when they hired him). FBI accuses Kibkalo for not only leaking Windows 8 information and codes to an unnamed tech blogger, but also Microsoft's Activation Server Software Development Kit, which could be used to bypass the operating system’s replication protection codes.
