Man's 'gun' turns out to be a tattoo
Maine: A man's home was surrounded by polic armed with assualt riffles after members of a tree removal crew that he told to clear off his property reorted that he was in possession of a gun.
It turns out the assumed 'gun' that the tree crew had seen on the accused, Michael Smith was just a life-sized tattoo of a handgun on his stomach.
Smith, who works nights, was asleep when the tree crew contracted by a utility to trim branches near power lines, woke him up at about 10 a.m. on 18th March.
He went outside bare chested and yelled at the workers to leave. When he's not wearing a shirt, the tattoo looks like a handgun tucked into his waistband.
Smith told the Morning Sentinel that the tattoo has never been a problem before. He was not charged by the police
