Pratighatana, a women-oriented film, with Charmi as the main lead, has been cleared by the Censor Board and been given a U/A certificate. Directed and produced by Thammareddy Bharadwaj, the film is all set to hit the screens in April.
Charmi plays a journalist and Reshma, of Eerojullo fame, plays Charmi’s friend. The audio of the film was released recently. The entire team of the film is all praise for Charmi’s performance. “After seven years I am directing a film. I wanted to cast a Telugu girl as the lead, but I couldn’t get a suitable one. I decided on Charmi as she speaks the language very well. After the release of the film, you will think the same,” says Thammareddy.
According to a source, the film has lot of satirical dialogues on present politicians including Chiranjeevi, N. Chandrababu Naidu and many others.
This is Charmi’s 50th film.
