He ruled the roost for almost two decades before disappearing into oblivion. After his last release Partner, Govinda was in the news only briefly due to his alleged fallout with good friend Salman Khan. But looks like times are changing for Chichi. Apart from acting in a home production, he has also signed films with top banners.
“I have seen the best and worst phase of my career. I was jobless for many years, but my stardom is intact — that is probably what has helped me bounce back. I’ve signed around six films now and will be back on the big screen soon,” he said.
He added, “The most important asset for an actor is respect. It’s very reassuring to know that there is a large section of the audience that wants me to make a comeback. This is my new beginning and I hope I succeeded in retaining the faith that my fans and my producers have shown in me.”
