ICC World T20: South Africa sweat over Steyn's hamstring injury

Steyn left the field after bowling 2.2 overs against Bangladesh A

Bangladesh: South African premier pace bowler Dale Steyn’s fitness will be a cause of concern for the team ahead of ICC World T20 to be played in Bangladesh. During South Africa’s win over Bangladesh A, Steyn left the field bowling 2.2 overs of his 4 over spell. CSA tweeted "some tightness in his hamstring," to describe the condition of Steyn’s injury.

Steyn was playing his first game after a fiercely contested 3 match Test series against Australia. Due to a strain in the right hamstring, Steyn could only bowl 13.1 overs in the final Test of the series. In order to get him fully fit for the ICC World T20, he was rested for the 3 match T20 series that follwoed Tests. But the injury has creeped in increasing fears about Steyn's participation in the World T20 Championship.
