It’s Cochin calling for Varun’s unit

Though the yet-to-be-titled debut film of Varun Tej was launched few weeks back, the shooting is yet to begin. The shooting will start from March 24 in Cochin, informs Tagore Madhu, one of the producers of the film. The film is being directed by Srikanth Addala.

The film which was initially planned to be shot in Godavari district, is now shifted to Cochin due to the upcoming elections. “We wanted the Godavari look and a lush green background. After a lot of scouting we settled for Cochin as the closest match,” says Madhu.

After Cochin, the unit will move to Alleppey and then to Hyderabad and are also planning to get back to Godavari district. Pooja Hegde will be playing the female lead opposite Varun Tej.
