Opera Mini 8 can now be downloaded for free on BlackBerry and Java-running phones. With its new flat and minimalistic design for the new browser, it also features improved 'Speed-dial' start page with redesigned tiles and private browsing options.
This browser enables the users to monitor and adjust data usage. “All your surfing is squeezed down to as little as 10% of its original size, so, if you are on a bad connection or paying for data as you go, Opera Mini 8 will keep you online longer,” stated Opera in a blog post.
“Opera Mini 8 has a lot of new stuff to try out, including night mode and private mode, but, for us, it is also important that Opera Mini is a pleasure to look at. That is why we have redesigned it to have a fresh, new look that fits into the Opera mobile browser product line.” concluded Christian Uribe, Product Manager of Opera Mini.
