Pakistan warm up in style against New Zealand
Pakistan convincingly beat New Zealand in their first warm-up match ahead of the World T20
Mirpur: Kamran Akmal (52) and Mohammed Hafeez (55) slammed half-centuries as Pakistan defeated New Zealand by six wickets in their first warm-up match ahead of the World T20 at Shere Bangla National Stadium on Monday.
Batting first, New Zealand posted 145 for nine in 20 overs with their skipper Brendon McCullum scoring an unbeaten 59. Pacer Umar Gul was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets giving away 16 runs. Chasing 146 for win, Pakistan reached home with one ball to spare.
