UK school’s website gets flooded with pornographic content
London: A school in the UK was forced to apologise after parents and their children found pornographic content on its website. Shocked families were greeted with X-rated advertisements and web banners and webcam sex chats as they tried to access educational resources on the Highworth Grammar School’s site, the Daily Star reported.
Six photographs of flesh-flashing women appeared on the school’s old site shortly after it transferred to a new web address. One snap showed a semi-naked woman holding her breasts with her hands in the middle of links to other porn sites. Officials at the school in Ashford, Kent, have now apologised to those who were forced to view the adult material.
It was reported that the school had changed their web address three years ago after an overhaul. An unknown firm with an Austrailian domain host took over advertising explicit content. A spokesman said, "Parents were informed of the changes to the new name and clearly this was acted upon by the great majority of our parents. We also ensured that any links within the internet had been updated to the best of our ability."
