Shasha Sri, who did few small roles in films like Kanden Kadhalai and Paiyya, has finally got a break in Tamil with director Kannan’s Oru Oorla Rendu Raja. She will be seen romancing Soori, the present heartthrob-comedian in the film and one of its two lead heroes. Vemal and Priya Anand play the lead pair.

The dusky actress is also a Malay filmmaker and producer to reckon with. Having started her career as a model, Shasha, a Tamilian raised in Malaysia, has completed her degree in aesthetic technology.  Speaking to DC, Shasha says, “I am working on a production venture in Malaysia. I am also busy with my chain of beauty clinics where I practice. The only reason I accepted this film was the director, the ‘Kannan factor’. I know Kannan sir well and when he offered me the role of a bubbly village belle pposite Soori sir, I just couldn’t refuse. It’s a beautiful role. I hope to work in more films after OORR,” she says.
