HYDERABAD: Serilingampally circle, covering Hitec City, Madhapur, Kondapur, Kothaguda and some other areas in the IT corridor, has topped in payment of property tax. GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar said tax collection from the Serilingampally circle is 36 per cent more than it was last year.
Kapra, Alwal and Malkajgiri had the second highest collection, showing 28 per cent more tax collection than last year. The GHMC had collected rupees 683 crore as on Friday, which is rupees 128 crore more than last year’s collection on the corresponding date.
Stating that West Zone, that covers Hitec City and Serilingampally areas, has shown 29 per cent growth in property tax collection, followed by East Zone with 25 per cent, Mr Kumar said that the overall tax collection increased by 18 per cent to the date compared to last year.
