CPI leader Nallakannu’s phone sings famous Kannadasan’s song ‘Nalandhana nalandhana udalum ullamum nalandhana’ song. AIADMK leader Saidai Duraisamy’s phone alerts callers with another Kannadasan song ‘Unnai arindhaal nee unnai arindhal’.
CPM whip K. Balakrishnan, an atheist, has a caller tunes that goes like this: ‘Than nambikai irudhal nee than kadavul’. CPM MLA Balabharathi’s mobile caller tune is the famous song ‘Oru Deivam thanda poovey’ from Kannathil Muthamittal film.
Several AIADMK leaders have the caller tune ‘Amma endral anbu’, a song sung by chief minister Jayalalithaa herself for the film Adimai Penn. Staunch Stalin support M. Subramanian’s mobile sings ‘Thayai pola Thalapathy’.

While Tamil Nadu BJP president Pon Radhakrishnan has set a Durga mantram for callers, another saffron leader, Dr Thamizhisai Soundarajan’s caller tune recalls Pavendar Bharathidasan’s song ‘Sangey muzhangu’ from the film Kalangarai Vilakkam.
