FIR against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal for unlawful assembly
Mumbai:The Mumbai police on Thursday registered an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal and some party colleagues for unlawful assembly. The airport police said that Mr Kejriwal and his party had taken out a rally without permission. AAP leader Mayank Gandhi tweeted that there was no unlawful assembly, and that as soon as Mr Kejriwal arrived, they all climbed into autos and left.
Mr Kejriwal has left Mumbai for Nagpur, where he will hold a rally. He was earlier forced to cancel a rally at Chandrapur for health reasons. His blood sugar levels shot up and he also contracted a throat infection, but he has recovered, an Aam Aadmi Party leader said.
However, despite his poor health Mr Kejriwal dined with party donors for fund raising at a posh hotel in Nagpur. The party has organised a dinner for those donating more than Rs 10,000 each, as part of a fund raising programme.
