Actor Aamir Khan says he was born on Holi
Aamir Khan, who turned 49 on Friday, said that he would spend the day with his family. And while this year Holi is still a couple of days away, the actor says that he was actually born on Holi.
“I was born on Holi, and the nurse had put colours on my cheeks,” says Aamir, adding, “I always celebrate Holi with my family members, especially with my maternal uncle. This Holi too I’ll be going to his place and celebrate.” Coming back to his birthday, the star says that while he doesn’t plan on partying, he will definitely indulge himself with his favourite food.
On a more serious note, we ask Aamir about the allegations doing the rounds that the money received following his plea for donations on his show Satyamev Jayate, goes to the Humanity Trust which uses it for building masjids and assisting Muslim boys.
Aamir clarifies that he is associated with the Humanity Trust based in West Bengal and not the other one, as has been alleged. “Yes! I do charge for my work. My profession is like any of you all. I work and get remuneration for my services. People will talk against you and about your honesty. However, I am only trying to bring in changes for the better through my show. We should never feel as though only we are being targeted by people and stop working towards our aim. Time will prove that those who talk against you were wrong.”
About his Christmas release P.K., he says, “The film is ready for release, a little post-production work is left.” He adds that the spelling of the titled is yet to be finalised.
