Hyundai launches ‘Xcent’

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched its highly anticipated compact family sedan ‘Hyundai Xcent’.

The advanced 2^nd generation U2 CRDi diesel delivers 72PS@4000rpm of maximum power and 18.4kgm@1750- 2500rpm of peak torque with the mileage of 24.4kmpl. This environment friendly U2 CRDi diesel engine is Euro V ready with low emission and NVH levels. The U2 engine operates at a high pressure of 1,800 bar and generates high low end torque resulting in lesser gear shifts in city driving conditions.

Its diesel engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission offering higher driving pleasure with enhanced fuel efficiency and refinement. For technological finesse, the turbocharger has been improved to provide better throttle response and acceleration.

The 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine comprises of ‘Dual VTVT’ mechanism delivering optimum engine performance with 83PS@6000rpm of maximum power and 11.6 kgm@4000rpmof peak torque with the mileage of 19.1kmpl. The petrol engine offers the choice of 5-speed manual transmission and 4- speed Automatic Transmission.
