Nikon launches 18.4MP mirrorless camera, the Nikon 1 V3
Nikon’s third-generation Nikon 1 V-series mirrorless camera is here. The shooter features an 18.4MP AF CMOS sensor with no low-pass filters. This one is a decent upgrade from the V2, which sported a 14.2MP sensor. Additionally, the V3 also sports Expeed 4A image-processing engine and an ability to shoot up to 20 frames per second when in auto-focus mode and 60 frames per second when in fixed focus.
The V3 also includes face-detection, which can focus up to 105 points. The ISO sensitivity offered is between ISO160 to ISO12800. Video recording options are 1080p @ 30fps, slow motion videos @ 120fps and a load of video editing options onboard.
Additional features include Wi-Fi connectivity and a 3-incher 1037k-dot touchscreen, which can rotate at various angles.
The V3 is reported to be shipped to the US and European market by April this year with a price possibility of around $1,199.95 The kit would include a 10-30mm pancake lens, grip and a 0.48-inch 2,359k-dot electronic viewfinder.
