No decision yet taken on alliance with TDP, says Rajnath Singh
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party chief Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday that the party has not yet decided on any poll alliance with the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.
"We have not yet taken any decision with regard to alliance in Andhra Pradesh," Singh said after his arrival in Hyderabad on a day-long visit.
Reportedly, BJP and TDP have arrived at a broad consensus and are working for seat sharing for simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh assembly.
According to sources, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu is already believed to have held talks with BJP top brass including Rajnath Singh.
Singh and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley will be addressing a public meeting here later in the day to celebrate formation of separate Telangana state.
Telangana, which is set to become a separate state on June 2, is going to polls on April 30 while elections in Seemandhra are scheduled on May 7.
