Rahul Gandhi to visit Narendra Modi’s Gujarat today
New Delhi: After AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal’s controversial visit to Gujarat, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit the home turf of the BJPs prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi with a day-long visit to the state on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old leader is scheduled to address salt pan workers in Gujarat's Rann of Kutch area in Surendranagar district in the morning. The area is also a Congress stronghold.
"The issue of salt pan workers was always Rahul Gandhi's priority list. To understand their pain, Rahul will visit them at Patdi and Kharaghoda villages of Surendrangar and then leave for Balasinor, where he will address a rally at around 1 pm," a Congress spokesperson told PTI.
Mr Gandhi will later address a public rally in Balasinore township of Kheda district.
With the election fever gripping political parties, this will be Mr Gandhi's second visit to Gujarat in a month.
