Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to adjust employees in next 2 years

Some employees will go to their respective states automatically while others would be adjusted in respective state cadres

Hyderabad: The Reorganisation Act has left it to corporations like Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to work out guidelines and adjust employees in the next two years. The data submitted by the government employees also revealed that 14,000 employees belonging to coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts are already in the Seemandhra region. Another 21,000 employees belonging to Telangana are working in the Telangana region. They need not be disturbed.

It was found that in some state-level offices in Hyderabad, the number of people working is more than the sanctioned posts, indicating that a large number of employees are on deputation from other places.
“Some of the employees have valid deputation orders while others do not. We have issued fresh instructions to re check their status,” a senior official said.

Some 5,000 employees from both Seemandhra and Telangana have been working on deputation and they will go to their respective states automatically as their deputation stands cancelled following the division.
Of the remaining employees, about 5,000 would be adjusted in respective state cadres keeping in view the requirement of the joint capital in the next 10 years.

“The preliminary estimates show that 3,000 Seemandhra employees working in Telangana and around 1,500 Telan-gana employees working in Seemandhra need to be adjusted either in their respective state cadres or in the other state’s cadre,” the official said, adding that there would be a variation of 10-15 per cent once the final picture emerges.

The top brass of the administration is relieved that there are fewer employees to be dealt with, unlike in other states where the cadre of the entire state had to be divided, leading to more litigation.
Official sources told that the Kamalanathan committee, which recently held discussions with chief secretary P.K. Mohanty, made it clear that the service conditions, promotion avenues and monetary benefits of each and every employee would remain the same irrespective of their repatriation to their respective native states.
