Another list from the world of apps
Another week and a billion more maps to sift through, worry not. That’s why we’re here. Here are some apps that are worth checking out.
Superburst (iOS)
Sometimes the right moment just whizzes by and your camera is still processing the last image. Well Superburst aims to end that problem. The app allows you to hold down the shoot button while the phone continuously takes photos in burst mode capturing everything that’s happening in front of you. While this feature is similar to what’s offered in iOS 7’s inbuilt camera app, the UI and image management in Superburst is far more convenient.
Silent Text (Android)
Sending secret files just got easier. The app allows you to send encrypted files up to 100 mb across its network and to make things better the encryption key is on your device, keeping it safe from server hacks. The app also features a Burn Notice ability which lets you destroy files after they are viewed or opened by the intended recipient, similar to what snapchat does. The app even lets you retrieve unopened files and messages should you change your mind last minute.
AVG Privacy Fix (Android)
Not a week goes by without a social media giant updating their privacy policy. It gets really tiresome keeping track of all these changes, that’s where Privacy Fix comes in. The app will send you an instant update explaining what has been changed and how you might want to adjust your settings to stay safe.
