When a film achieves a milestone in terms of its Box Office collections, the leading actors are given the credit.
However, the music director who gives chartbusters hardly gets mentioned in the crores earned by a film.
In an interesting stat compiled by Box Office India, a film trade magazine, Pritam’s 15 movies as a music composer from 2012 onwards have managed to collect more than rs 1000 crore.
Talking to the magazine about being aware of this milestone, Pritam said, “ I wasn’t aware of until someone told me my films had earned over Rs1000 crore. So I was like OK, but what does that mean? A musician doesn’t usually pay attention to a film’s business. Its got more to do with the fact that I want people to like it. Everyone has to like the music I make. I don’t calculate success.”
