Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was joined by MPs G.V. Harsha Kumar and Sabbam Hari, A. Sai Pratap and Lagadapti Rajagopal, who were recently expelled from the Congress as he announced the launch a new political party.
Other expelled MPs Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao are also supporting Mr Kiran Kumar’s new party.
Political pundits and intelligence agencies are yet to assess the impact the new party will have on the politics of the state.
“It will definitely play spoilsport for the two major players in the residuary state — the Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress — just as the Praja Rajyam and Lok Satta did in 2009,” said political analyst K. Nageswar.
