Film actress Moon Moon Sen gets Trinamool Congress ticket, will contest from Bankura parliamentary constituency

Kolkata: Tollywood is upbeat because three more actors from the film industry have been nominated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to contest the Lok Sabha elections in the state. After the announcement of Trinamul’s candidate list on Wednesday, it was clear that Tollywood superstar Dev will contest his seat from Ghatal in West Midnapore and actress Moon Moon Sen, daughter of legendary actress Suchitra Sen will contest her seat from Bankura parliamentary constituency.

It may be recalled that in 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Trinamul had nominated Tollywood actor Tapas Pal and actress Shatabdi Roy from Krishnanagar and Birbhum constituencies respectively. Wishing them luck, actress June Maliah said, “It is a fantastic selection. They are able candidates and I think they will do a great job. I wish them all the best.”

Since the nomination of these film stars, their mobile phones have not stopped receiving congratulatory messages.
