Congress and TRS talk ties for 2014 Lok Sabha elections
TRS is ready to give 10 to the Congress and keep six for itself
Hyderabad: Formal talks have started between leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and the Congress regarding forming an alliance for the forthcoming elections.
Some Telangana Congress leaders on Thursday met senior TRS leaders to enquire about the ongoing negotiations between the Congress high command and the TRS. According to sources, the TRS has proposed to leave 50 out of the 119 Assembly seats for the Congress.
For the 17 Lok Sabha seats, the TRS is ready to give 10 to the Congress and keep six for itself. The remaining seat, that of Hyderabad, has been left out of the equation as no one expects any party other than the MIM to win from there.
