Well look no more, presenting the world’s most expensive Pancake- Manchester's Raddison Blu Edwardian Hotel’s five-star Opus restaurant’s specially crafted pancake, containing lobster, truffles, caviar and pink champagne is the world’s most expensive pancake at £800 a serving.
Head chef Matthew Downes prepares the entire dish in just 20 minutes. This luxurious gourmet pancake contains Russian Beluga caviar, Hulle Verge truffles, Scottish mussels, Paradise lobster and langoustines, and is served with a dollop of Dom Perignon Rose Hollandaise sauce.
You won’t find chef Downes’ pancake on the restaurant's menu, but the kitchen takes orders for patrons who decide to indulge in the heavenly preparation.
The pancake beats the restaurants previous record set in 2009 when the hotel’s chefs created a pancake the was £144 a serving. The previous pancake contains Madagascan Vanilla pods, 23-carat edible gold leaf, organic strawberries and the works.
